Michelle Fidelis Blandina
A New Hampshire native, Michelle is an oil painter and printmaker currently working out of Chases Garage Artist Studios in York, ME. She received her BFA in Illustration from the New Hampshire Institute of Art with a focus in figure painting and monotype printmaking. She utilizes each medium interchangeably allowing them to work together and push boundaries outside of traditional technique.
She often uses friends, family, and patterns from their personal effects as her source for inspiration. Focusing on the darkness or ugliness that lives within each of us, she seeks to bring light to these “imperfections” through expressive portraiture and more abstract based prints. Her intention in doing so, is to attract some curiosity as to how and why it/they came to be.
She currently resides in Southern Maine with her husband and son.
